Question 1

What is jadeite, and how does it differ from nephrite?

Accepted Answer

Jadeite and nephrite are distinct mineral materials commonly grouped under the term jade. Appearance alone is not a reliable way to identify a specific item. For identification and treatment information, request an independent laboratory report for the individual piece.

Question 2

What do Type A, Type B and Type C jadeite mean?

Accepted Answer

In common jadeite trade terminology, Type A refers to jadeite without detectable chemical treatment, though traditional surface waxing may be present. Type B generally refers to bleached, polymer-impregnated jadeite; Type C refers to dyed jadeite. Treatment assessment requires appropriate testing of the individual item. A listing without a report is not a certification.

Question 3

How can I verify whether a listed piece is jadeite?

Accepted Answer

Ask for an item-specific report from an independent gemological laboratory. Verify the report number with the issuer where available, and compare the item's identifying details with the report. Photos or a touch test alone cannot establish material or treatment status.

Question 4

Can I confirm treatment from a photograph?

Accepted Answer

No. Lighting, editing and screens can change a stone's appearance. A reputable laboratory may use a combination of gemological observations and analytical methods appropriate to the question being tested.

Question 5

What does 'Imperial Green' mean?

Accepted Answer

It is a trade term commonly used for a highly saturated green jadeite appearance, not a substitute for a laboratory finding. Color is only one consideration; translucency, texture, workmanship, treatment and condition also matter.

Question 6

What do texture and translucency describe?

Accepted Answer

Texture describes the visual fineness and uniformity of the material. Translucency describes how much light passes through it. Evaluate each piece under consistent lighting and ask for additional photos or video if needed.

Question 7

Is 'old mine' an independently verified grade?

Accepted Answer

No. 'Old mine' is a trade description whose meaning varies. Do not assume a deposit, age, geological history or price premium based on that label without item-specific evidence.

Question 8

Does every listed item include a laboratory certificate?

Accepted Answer

Do not assume so. Our public catalog does not currently provide a verified report number for every listing. Please request any available item-specific documentation before making a decision, and verify it directly with the issuing laboratory.

Question 9

How do I check a laboratory report?

Accepted Answer

Use the issuing laboratory's own report-check service if offered. Compare the material identification, treatment comments, image, weight and dimensions with the item in question. If something does not match, contact the lab before relying on it.

Question 10

Can I arrange independent testing?

Accepted Answer

Ask a laboratory directly which services it offers for jadeite, whether it accepts your type of item, its current fees and turnaround time. Availability and report scope differ by laboratory.

Question 11

Does the $100 starting-price message quote this product's price?

Accepted Answer

No. It is a general inquiry prompt, not a verified item-specific selling price. Ask us for a written quote for the exact piece shown, including any additional costs.

Question 12

Is jadeite a guaranteed investment?

Accepted Answer

No. Resale value and liquidity are uncertain. Material identification, treatment, condition, provenance and independent documentation should be assessed before purchasing. We do not promise returns or future appreciation.

Question 13

How can I ask about a piece?

Accepted Answer

Open the item's detail page and use the WhatsApp inquiry link, or message +959982567888 with the page URL. Ask for the item's current availability, exact price, further images and any item-specific laboratory documentation.

Question 14

Do you have an online checkout?

Accepted Answer

No. The website is an inquiry catalog, not a cart or payment checkout. Discuss availability, verification and transaction terms directly before any purchase.

Question 15

Does the catalog prove that every stone came from Hpakant?

Accepted Answer

No. Hpakant is an important Myanmar jadeite mining area, but a product page should not be treated as proof of a particular mining location. Ask for item-specific provenance documents and independent analysis where available.

Question 16

How should I care for jadeite jewelry?

Accepted Answer

Keep jewelry away from impacts, harsh chemicals and abrasive surfaces. If the item has settings, treatments or repairs, ask a qualified jeweler or gemologist for care instructions tailored to that piece before cleaning.

Question 17

Do you ship internationally or provide tours?

Accepted Answer

Availability of shipping or visits, applicable legal restrictions, insurance and cost depend on the destination and item. Ask via WhatsApp for current options and written terms; this FAQ does not guarantee a particular service.

Question 18

Where can I watch live jadeite showcases?

Accepted Answer

Visit the Myanmar Jadeite YouTube live page or the linked Facebook page. Schedules may change; please check each platform for current live status.
